Our Motorcycle Diaries

You do know what an adventure is, don't you?.....A disaster that you survived to tell about ;)

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

Hi Guys. Still enjoying reading about your adventures. Nice to read about Costa Rica since we do know some of the area that you have been. Their Magpie Jays are so beautiful. Nicer than the Blue Jays we have at home. Another word of advice on animals in Costa Rica .. If you see a black squirel, stay away .. it's a skunk. Their skunks are black with no stripes but the squirels are light with a grey strip. Peculiar!!!! :) We had our own adventure over the past few weeks but not the same as yours. We were in St. Marteen for two weeks. Al and I chartered a boat and sailed around the islands. I'm sure he will tell you about how I tried to kill him by broaching the boat but there are always two sides to a story. Take care and enjoy!

ATTN: Jan

Hi Jan. Was just talking with Diane and she was saying that you were having trouble trying to get a flight home. If you need any help from this end, let me know. Sometimes it is easier to buy a return from here and just use the one way. Friends of ours that live in the Turks and Caicos had to do that. A return flight from Toronto to San Jose is currently $580.05 per person including taxes. You would only use the fare from San Jose back to Toronto. They do have spots available on January 10th. If you want me to arrange something for you, let me know. Our home address is caican@aol.com
